Enjoyed this one especially because I grew up competitive and have won a few things over the years, however I know my dad and his siblings who were lifelong Cubs fans missed out on the World Series win we never thought was possible. He missed it by 1 year, 6 months and 2 days. In the end we all felt bad our relatives never got to witness the moment...as many over the course of 108 years also missed out on the moment. In the end, a cousin sent all of us mug with a photo of dad, my uncle and aunt at one of thousands of Cubs games. It said simply "they taught us to love the game." Life is not about winning, but it is nice to win and have our moment so we know reality/normalcy comes back soon. It is truly about the journey and the "game" and we have many in our past, present and future lives to give thanks.
